Plan Ahead: Burrum River Bridge Closure

Heads up, travellers! The Burrum River Bridge will be intermittently closed for essential structural repairs for 5 weeks from Monday 16 June to Sunday 21 July.

Whether you’re a Home Owner out and about or planning a visit to the Resort for a tour, please allow extra travel time during this period. If you are travelling to and from Hervey Bay, traffic will be detoured via the Bruce Highway, so it’s a good idea to check your route before heading off.

To help reduce disruption:

• The bridge will remain open overnight on weekdays (5:30pm to 6:30am)
• Fully open across weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Weekday closures will be in place from 6:30am to 5:30pm.

We appreciate your patience as these important upgrades are carried out and we’ll be here with a warm welcome when you arrive!

COALFEST 2025 – Burrum Coal Discovery Festival

This year Good Life RV and Lifestyle Resort is sponsoring one of our community’s major events, The Burrum Coal Discovery Festival – known as Coalfest!

Coalfest celebrates the discovery of coal in the area in 1863, a significant event that marked the beginning of a major coal mining industry in the Burrum district.

Our team values community spirit and are excited about supporting Coalfest 2025 and in particular the popular Chainsaw Wood Carving Sculpture. Take a step back in time and enjoy the street parade, activities, live entertainment and so much more.
