Site Update

The Clubhouse Precinct (Stage 1 Release) is certainly taking shape. Roads, kerbs and house pads clearly identifiable. This is very exciting news and more so for Ian & Vicki #82 as their home is the first on the construction programme. We look forward to bringing you regular home construction updates over the coming months.

Entry Statement

The Entry Statement to Good Life Fraser Coast is underway with the entry road boxed out and the first of the subgrade gravels laid and compacted. The plinth that will form the core entry statement structure has been poured in readiness for power, water and landscaping. Our Residents will enjoy a secure gated estate with number plate recognition for secure and easy access. Visitors will need to dial a number on a keypad which will dial the resident direct and access granted via the push of a button from a panel in their home.

Kerbs & Channels

The “kerbies” were on site in August and made major headway towards completing the kerbs and channels in the Clubhouse Precinct. Kerbs and channels form a barrier between the road pavement and the nature strip/verge which is designed to provide road drainage and prevent water entering under the road surface. Our drains at Good Life Fraser Coast are akin to those that you would normally see in a residential sub-division…water draining to the kerbs and then into the stormwater drainage system.

Fire Hydrants

Fire Hydrants were installed in the Community Facilities Zone in August. The fire hydrants in the community facilities zones are above ground and in the residential precincts they will be below ground. The reticulated hydrant system at Good Life Fraser Coast is an active fire protection measure connected to town water supply to assist in extinguishing a fire if required.

Services

Another milestone ticked with the commencement of underground electrical reticulation services.

Home Construction Update

Another milestone to tick. We are pleased and excited to announce that construction of the first home on Site 82 has commenced. There are a further five (5) homes scheduled to start this month.

Spring Is Here
It seems that Carla & Yvette have a knack for floral arrangements. Each week they assemble a beautiful floral display directly from our front gardens at the Sales & Information Centre. This week is Grevillea focussed. These same species will be used in the landscaping around the resort and the gardens of resident homes.

Boat Ramp – Powerhouse Road Howard

Only a couple of minutes away from the front gates of Good Life Fraser Coast is the local boat ramp for access to the Burrum River. The Burrum River system holds good stocks of fish and crabs in all areas, with whiting and flathead the main catch. For those who specialise, barramundi can be found in small numbers.
